), founder and for thirteen years editor of New England Review, has published nine collections of poems, most recently Young of the Year (Four Way books, 2011). His prior collection, Pursuit of a Wound, was a Pulitzer Prize finalist in 2001. A selection of his critical essays, A Hundred Himalayas, is scheduled for the University of Michigan Press’s “Writers on Writing” series. He teaches at Dartmouth College and is Vermont’s new Poet Laureate. (updated 10/2011)
