) teaches at the University of Massachusetts at Boston where he is completing a three-year term as Chair of the English Department. His AGNI poem “The Birds of Sorrow” is part of a manuscript, John, that chronicles the illness and death of his lover John MacDonald, who had AIDS. John will be published jointly by Hanging Loose Press/Calamus Books (Brooklyn & New York) in the fall of 1988. (1988)
