Idra Novey

Idra Novey’s first book of poems, The Next Country, was released by Alice James Books in 2008. She has new poems forthcoming in American Poetry Review, A Public Space, and BOMBlog. Her translations include two collections of poetry and a novel in prose poems by Uruguayan writer Vizconde Lascano Tegui forthcoming from Dalkey Archive in 2010. Novey teaches in the School of the Arts at Columbia University and serves as Director for Columbia’s Center for Literary Translation. (updated 7/2009)
