Gregory Skovoroda

Gregory Skovoroda (1722-94), called the Ukrainian Socrates, composed songs, fables, and poems, as well as philosophic dialogues and essays. None were published in his lifetime. He wrote in Latin, Old Slavic, and Ukrainian.
