Anis Shivani
Anis Shivani’s short fiction collection, Anatolia and Other Stories, which includes a Pushcart Special Mention story, is forthcoming from Black Lawrence Press in 2009. A novel, Intrusion, about an American anthropologist doing fieldwork in South Asia, and a book of criticism, American Fiction in Decline: Publishing in an Age of Plenty, are nearing completion. His poetry manuscript, My Tranquil War and Other Poems, was picked by David Shapiro as runner-up for the 2007 Marsh Hawk Press Prize. (updated 10/2008)
