Terrier Men's Hockey

With five NCAA Division I national titles (tied for the most among Eastern schools) and 29 Beanpot championships, Boston University has long established itself as one of the top collegiate hockey programs in the country. The 2011-12 team finished with 23 wins and earned a spot in the NCAA West Regional, the 32nd NCAA appearance all-time.

In 2012-13, senior captain Wade Megan and junior Matt Nieto will lead the Terriers offensively. Megan scored a team-high 20 goals last season, while Nieto posted 42 points, the most of any returner. Senior defenseman Ryan Ruikka will serve as assistant captain and junior defenseman Garret Noonan was named a Hockey East All-Star as a sophomore. They will join a talented group of incoming freshmen, including five newcomers who were selected in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

Legendary coach Jack Parker enters his 40th season as head coach with an overall record of 876-456-113 for a .645 winning percentage. Parker, who has made a record 24 appearances in the NCAA tournament as a head coach, will look to lead the Terriers to their eighth Hockey East title.
