African Studies at BU
The African Studies Center offers educational opportunities at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. For undergraduates, the ASC offers two possible minors, the African Studies Minor and the Minor in African Languages and Literature. The ASC also offers a Graduate Certificate in African
Studies. In addition to our on campus African Studies offerings, BU sponsors Study Abroad programs in Morocco, Niger, and Senegal.
Courses in African Studies
Courses in African Studies are offered in a wide variety of disciplines in various schools and colleges at BU. Our offerings include both core courses, focused entirely on Africa, and other courses with significant African content. Opportunities also exist for students to cross-register in African Studies courses at other area colleges and universities.
