New Student Orientation

This is a planned for August 25-28 and will start at 118 Bay State Road in Boston, MA.

Freshman Orientation Program (FOP) or New Student Orientation Program (NSOP) is for everyone planning to attend Air Force ROTC at Boston University Fall 2009. This is a fun and optional program to give you a head start with AFROTC at BU. We will meet with your parent(s) on Tuesday and then have a BBQ prior to your parent(s) departure. There will be one night staying at Hanscom AFB and 2 nights at Westover AFB. Training will be run by upper class cadets and will include uniform issue/fitting, some marching practice, customs and courtesy training, and group leadership projects(GLPs). Most of the time will be spent doing very cool things like shooting weapons at a practice range, a static display of Air Force aircraft, and other planned events. The cost of this 3.5 days of training is only $75. You will be back in Boston on Friday afternoon and you can either move into your dorm or return home until school starts. We hope to see you there.
