Crosstown Schools
The Flying Tigers at Boston University is host to many cadets from other colleges and universities across the Greater Boston area through crosstown enrollment agreements. Students at any of the below schools may enroll in Air Force ROTC at Boston University while simultaneously earning a degree at their crosstown institution.
Scholarships
Air Force ROTC offers numerous competitive scholarships to qualifying individuals. More information can be found on the Air Force ROTC web site.
Boston University offers several significant incentives for scholarship winners. Check the Boston University Undergraduate Bulletin for more information.
Classes
As a college freshman or sophomore, you’ll register for an Air Force one-hour credit course and Leadership Laboratory. As a college junior or senior, you’ll register for an Air Force three-hour credit course and Leadership Laboratory.
Classes for Fall 2008 are:
Leadership Laboratory: Wed 1600-1800 (All Students should attend)
AS 100 (Freshman) course section(s): Wed 1500-1550
AS 200 (Sophomore) course section(s): Wed 1400-1450
AS 300 (Junior) course section(s): Tues 1800-2050
AS 400 (Senior) course section(s): Wed 1800-2050
In addition, you will also be required to attend two physical training (PT) sessions per week. There is one mandatory session on Tuesday at 0600-0700 and three alternative sessions on Wednesday 0800-0900, Friday 1100-1200, and Friday 1500-1600. You must attend the mandatory session and one of the alternative sessions.
