If you’re considering attending Boston University, you’ve probably done some research about us. But facts alone don’t tell the whole story. After all, choosing a college or university is a big step in your life. It isn’t just an academic decision. It’s personal. And the best way to see if BU is a good fit for you is to come to campus. Reservations and advance notice are required for some programs. BU Admissions is located at the Alan and Sherry Leventhal Center at 233 Bay State Road. Once you schedule your visit, see Directions & Maps for how to get here and where to park. Please plan to arrive and check in 15 minutes before your campus visit is scheduled to begin.
Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (excluding November 28)
Visitor Programs for Students and Families
These programs are for high school sophomores and juniors.
Your visit will begin with a presentation where you will learn about BU’s dynamic academic and social community from a variety of perspectives. You will learn what makes an application competitive for admission and have an opportunity to have all your questions answered. You will then proceed on a walking tour of campus* where you’ll see everything from the student union to the BU “Beach.” Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. Sign up online.
*As our tours are given by current students, they will not be available during certain times of the year – Spring Break in March, May, early September, and during Winter break. Please check the registration calendar to determine if a tour will be offered on the day of your visit.

College of Arts & Sciences Experience
Learn about the more than 60 majors in the humanities and the social, natural, and computational sciences in the College of Arts & Sciences (CAS). CAS staff and students will also discuss research opportunities and academic advising for all areas of study including pre-medical and pre-law pathways. Sessions on October 19, 26 and 30 from 9:30 a.m. to Noon will also include general admission information, a tour of BU, and lunch in a dining hall*. Sign up now online.
*If you are interested in the sciences you may add a Laboratory Science Tour to your CAS Experience. Please sign up for a lab tour separately below.
Interested in seeing our laboratory facilities? Our students will lead you on a tour of our Biology and Marine Science labs, used by Boston University undergraduates. In addition, you will also see our Physics lab on Monday tours and our Chemistry lab on Friday tours. This tour is offered on select dates from September through November. Sign up online.

Applying as a transfer student? We offer on- and off-campus programming designed specifically for your needs.
Have you already been to campus and want to see even more? We’ll give you a preview of what it’s like to be a BU student during our extended campus tour. You and your family will attend an information session, followed by a 1.5 hour tour of the full campus, including the Fitness and Recreation Center, and have lunch in the West Campus Dining Hall. This program is available on most Mondays and Fridays in September through November. Space is limited for this program. To request this visit, please fill out our form.
Want to experience life as a BU student? Spend time attending a class with a student host. This program is offered for high school seniors and transfer students from October through November during the fall semester. Advance notice of at least two weeks is required.
