In the event of a snow emergency, please check the BU homepage or call 617-353-SNOW (7669) for information on campus closings.
Also, please be aware that on April 3, 9, and 19 there will be afternoon Boston Red Sox games at nearby Fenway Park. Parking in the area around campus will be extremely limited, and we strongly encourage you to take public transportation to the Admissions Reception Center.
BU Admissions has relocated our reception center to 233 Bay State Road. We are very excited to begin hosting prospective students and families at our new, state-of-the-art Admissions Reception Center as of March 10, 2014. To find us, look for the red awning!
Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Reservations and advance notice are required. Once you schedule your visit, see Directions & Maps for how to get here and where to park. Please plan to arrive and check in 15 minutes before your campus visit is scheduled to begin.
Visitor Programs for Students and Families
Your visit will begin with a presentation where you will learn about BU’s dynamic academic and social community from a variety of perspectives. You will learn what makes an application competitive for admission and have an opportunity to have all your questions answered. You will then proceed on a walking tour of campus* where you’ll see everything from the student union to the BU “Beach.” Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes. Sign up online
*As our tours are given by current students, they will not be available during certain times of the year – Spring Break in March, May, early September, and during Winter break. Please check the registration calendar to determine if a tour will be offered on the day of your visit.
Extended Campus Visit
Want to see it all? We’ll give you a preview of what it’s like to be a BU student during our extended campus visit. You and your family will attend an information session, followed by a 1.5-hour tour of the full campus, including the Fitness and Recreation Center, and have lunch in the West Campus Dining Hall. This program is available on most Mondays and Fridays during February and March. Space is limited for this program. To request this visit, please fill out this form.
Want to experience life as a BU student? Spend time attending a class with a student host. This program is offered for high school juniors from February through mid March during the spring semester. Visits are available Monday through Thursday. Advance notice of at least two weeks is required. To request this visit, please call us at 617-353-2318.
If you are looking to bring a group of 10-50 students for a campus visit, please submit our group visit request form.
If you have any questions, feel free to email us or call 617-353-2318.
