What a Financial Aid Package Might Look Like
To help you understand how aid is broken down and awarded at BU, we’ve supplied four examples of what a financial aid package might look like.
MyinTuition: Quick College Cost Estimator
This online tool will help you anticipate your college costs and estimate your eligibility for need-based scholarships through six basic financial questions. You will receive an early estimate of the amount your family will need to contribute for one year at Boston University.
Net Price Calculator
This online tool will help you and your family estimate the amount of financial aid you could be offered and the net amount you may be expected to pay toward the cost of attending BU.
BU’s need-based scholarships are awarded based on a combination of demonstrated financial need and academic merit. To apply, you must complete the two financial aid forms listed above to determine your financial aid need for need-based grants and scholarships. We strongly encourage students and families to consider applying, even if you don’t think you may be eligible.
Note to International Students:
Need-based financial aid from BU is not currently available to international students. For general information about financial assistance from other sources, please request the booklet “Financial Planning for Study in the United States” from the US Information Agency or a bi-national advising center in your home country.
International students may be eligible for select merit scholarships offered by BU.
