Although we’re one of the most diverse research universities in the country (our students come from all 50 U.S. states, more than 100 countries, and a myriad of ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds), each student shares some similar traits: they’re all bright, driven, inquisitive, and not afraid to jump in and go for it—whether conducting research in a lab with a professor or studying “where it all began” in the Galápagos with their classmates. If this sounds a lot (or even a little!) like you, then BU is worth seriously considering.
Something else to consider? Because of our academic breadth and rigor in both the liberal arts and professional programs, BU attracts students with an enormous range of talents and perspectives. Our undergraduates are on their way to becoming scientists and educators, artists and engineers, doctors and entrepreneurs.
Then there’s our faculty, as intellectually diverse as they are distinguished. You might take a physics course taught by a Nobel Laureate or learn reporting from a Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist. In every case, you’ll broaden your understanding of the real world as well as the specific subject matter.
Put it all together and you’ve got a nationally ranked, academically rigorous university with a global perspective. Not bad, don’t you think?
