  Academic Counseling
The Educational Resource Center (ERC) provides comprehensive resources and referrals to students from freshman year through graduation. The ERC provides peer support, tutoring services, language conversation groups, and programs in study and writing skills and helps integrate students into the University community. Some of the ERC's offerings are listed below. Please see the ERC website for a full list of services.

Writing Center
The Writing Center assists graduate and undergraduate students with any stage of the writing process, from generating ideas to completing a final draft. Workshops on grammar and writing research papers and essays are also offered.

Peer Tutoring
Academically strong students from across the University are recruited to work as Peer Tutors and offer free tutoring sessions to undergraduates. Peer Tutors complement the student's classroom experience and provide insight into becoming a more successful and well-organized learner.

Freshman Resource Advisors
Student volunteers from the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) help make the transition to Boston University easier for incoming CAS students. These Freshmen Resource Advisors help new students make the best of all the resources available to the University community. Students not enrolled in CAS receive similar services through their individual Schools and Colleges.

Language Link
The Language Link offers small, informal conversation groups for students wishing to improve their foreign language skills. Native and accomplished speakers lead groups in a variety of languages.
