Hospitality Administration is the art
and business of managing hotels, food and beverage
service, travel and tourism, entertainment, and much
more. Managing these enterprises successfully requires
an understanding of accounting, finance, law, human
resources, sales and marketing, real estate, and technology. And because hospitality is the largest
business in the world, learning how to manage
effectively in the international marketplace is essential.
At Boston University, your mentors will be our
faculty, all well-respected professionals at the top of
their fields. Along with hospitality and business management courses, you will also take a variety of
challenging liberal arts courses to develop your capacity
for critical thinking, clear expression (often in more than
one language), technological know-how and problem
solving. In addition, through more than 800 hours of
required field experience in two internships (including
one international experience), you’ll come to view Boston and the world as your ultimate learning laboratory.
