  College of Fine Arts
The Boston University College of Fine Arts offers Schools of Music, Theatre Arts, and Visual Arts. Central to the comprehensive professional training is extensive practical experience—in performances, productions, and studios. Consequently, the faculty are chosen not only for their ability to impart knowledge and techniques, but also for their proven accomplishments in the arts.

School of Music
When you enter the Boston University School of Music, you acknowledge that serious commitment to music demands serious study of your craft: conservatory-style training in classical music, world-renowned teachers who are themselves practicing musicians, abundant performance opportunities, and the advantage of a liberal arts curriculum taught by exceptional faculty. Our students earn Bachelor of Music degrees in one of the following areas: theory and composition, musicology, music education, and performance in voice and nearly 20 instruments.

School of Visual Arts
As a painter, sculptor, designer, or art educator at Boston University's School of Visual Arts, you will prepare for leading positions in the art world by becoming part of its present and understanding its past. Your education begins with the foundation program, a solid, two-year foundation leading to a concentration in one of four major areas: painting, sculpture, graphic design, and art education. Once in your chosen major, you create your own body of work that combines a strong base of technical accomplishment with the intellectual stimulus provided by Boston University's curriculum and the rich cultural environment of the city of Boston.

School of Theatre Arts
Boston University's School of Theatre Arts is New England's oldest and most comprehensive undergraduate theatre training program, offering majors in acting/theatre studies, design, production, and stage management. Ours is a conservatory-based program in which dedicated faculty nurture your talent and develop your potential. All of our students have the opportunity to work with professionals from the Huntington Theatre Company, Boston University's theatre-company-in-residence. Throughout your four years at Boston University, you will perform in or work on numerous plays, including both workshop and main stage productions at the state-of-the-art Boston University Theatre.
