  College of Communication
The College of Communication (COM) provides a professional education combined with an essential, core liberal arts education that develops critical thinking, skills in writing and research, and mastery of various mass media. Through our expert faculty of teaching professionals, a valuable alumni network, and a broad-based curriculum, our students prepare to succeed in a wide range of media-related careers or in advanced degree programs. And studying in Boston, one of the nation’s top media markets, means access to exciting opportunities for internships and employment. Classroom work is supplemented not only with internships but also with COM-run programs such as ADLab, our student-run professional advertising company; PRLab, our student-run professional PR firm; Hothouse Productions, our professional video production company; and two radio stations, to mention a few.

The College includes three departments: Film and Television; Journalism; and Mass Communication, Advertising, and Public Relations. The undergraduate program, leading to the Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, offers majors in broadcasting and film, journalism, and mass communication.
