This is an eight-year program leading to a bachelor's degree from the
College of Arts and Sciences or
Sargent College of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences
at Boston University in the concentration of one's choice and a doctor of medicine degree from Boston University's
School of Medicine.
The MMEDIC curriculum provides a gradual transition into the curriculum of the School of Medicine by allowing academically
talented college students to take modular courses that enable them to fulfill undergraduate requirements and certain
requirements of the first and second year of medical school at the same time. Students may apply to the program in the
spring of their second year at Boston University. MMEDIC provides an enhanced educational transition from undergraduate
to medical study without accelerating the premedical to medical sequence.
