The Community Outreach Committee is focused on maintaining relationships with the University’s student body, which includes
more than 400 student clubs and organizations, a large number of which are cultural groups such as La Fuerza and UMOJA, the Black Student Union.
Committee members attend the meetings of cultural organizations to inform them of upcoming ASDB events and ways they can participate; they also stay
connected to the multicultural student population through the Cultural Consortium, part of the Student Activities Office (SAO).
Finally, the committee also serves as a liaison to the Howard Thurman Center, the hub of multicultural life on
campus, and participates in the Center’s events.
