  Scholarships For International Students
There are three kinds of merit awards available to international students:

Trustee Scholarship
The Trustee Scholarship recognizes truly outstanding high school seniors with a four-year (full tuition and certain mandatory fees) merit award. Principals or headmasters of schools must nominate Trustee Scholar candidates. Nomination letters and accompanying materials, including application, must be received at Boston University by December 1.

Nomination and essay forms are available online at the Trustee Scholars site.

Recipients' average high school GPA: 3.90
Average rank in class: top 2 percent
Average SAT score: Critical Reading and Math = 1512, Writing = 750
Average ACT score: 34

University Scholarship
University Scholarships are awarded by the University to students with exceptional academic records. This four-year, half-tuition, renewable scholarship reflects Boston University's commitment to excellence in academic achievement.

Recipients' average high school GPA: 3.80
Average rank in class: top 5 percent
Average SAT score: Critical Reading and Math = 1417, Writing = 700
Average ACT score: 31

Need-Based Financial Aid Policy For International Students

Financial aid from Boston University is not available to international students. For general information about financial assistance, students may request the booklet "Financial Planning for Study in the United States" from the U.S. Information Agency or binational advising center in their home country.

International students pay the same tuition as U.S. students. Please consult our current tuition rates.
