Alexander Graham Bell Scholarship

In 1876, young BU Professor Alexander Graham Bell was searching for a new tool to aid in his work as an educator of the deaf. In the process, he invented the telephone—and became one of the world’s most famous engineers.

The students, faculty and staff in Boston University’s College of Engineering are dedicated to advancing science and technology through research and discovery. The Alexander Graham Bell Scholarship recognizes students with strong math and science backgrounds who have the potential to thrive in this community. We encourage students in the top 10% of their class to consider applying for the scholarship.

Alexander Graham Bell Scholars receive:

  • A renewable scholarship for full tuition
  • One semester of funding in the first two years of study to participate in a research program with a College of Engineering faculty member
