In the spring, you will receive an email to sign up for University Orientation, where you will learn all about the exciting place that will be your home for the next four years. You will attend “Common Ground,” and meet your new classmates (or maybe even your roommate), participate in team-building exercises, explore the city of Boston, and much more. Check out our video on the Common Ground experience.
At Orientation, you will also meet your academic advisor who will guide you through the process of choosing the right courses for your degree and help you to register for fall semester classes. In addition, throughout your undergraduate studies at BU, academic advising services are provided within each school or college to support you.
Orientation sessions are listed below.
*Students admitted to the CGS January Program in Boston and London should attend one of these sessions. Winter welcome events will also be offered on campus in January 2015.
**International students are encouraged to attend any University Orientation session that their visa status permits. There will be additional mandatory programming on August 30.
