An initiative of the International Health
the Boston University School of Public Health
The goal of Accountability and Transparency for Health (ACT for Health) is to promote strategies to prevent and control corruption in the health sector. Our web site shares tools and approaches for research and training, integrating knowledge from many disciplines, including economics, anthropology, sociology, law, and political science.
Taryn Vian is co-editor of a new book, Anticorruption in the Health Sector: Strategies for Transparency and Accountability, available in the U.S. through Kumarian Press, and in Europe through Eurospan.
ACT for Health worked with the U4 Anticorruption Resource Centre to present workshops in Belgium and Malawi in 2009.
Working with Towards Transparency, the national contact for Transparency International in Vietnam, and the Swedish Embassy, Taryn Vian helped facilitate the 6th Donor's Roundtable on Corruption in Hanoi, Vietnam. The final report was issued in April 2010 and can be accessed here.
