JAMES A. SAUER FELLOWSHIP
2010-2011
The James A. Sauer Fellowship will be offered to one graduate student of Jordanian nationality, in Jordan or elsewhere, to advance his or her academic career in the field of archaeology, anthropology, conservation, or related areas. The award might be used for participation on an archaeological project, research expenses, academic tuition, or travel to scholarly conferences during the period May 1, 2010 through May 31, 2011. The award may be supplemented by other non-ACOR grants. Applicants must be enrolled graduate students at the time of application. For the 2010-2011 funding cycle this competition is open only to Jordanian citizens. The James A. Sauer Fellowship provides support in the amount of $1,000. In alternate cycles the fellowship will be offered to graduate students of U.S. or Canadian nationality.
Graduate Jordanian students attending a higher educational institution in Jordan may also be eligible for the ACOR Jordanian Graduate Student Scholarship and the Frederick-Wenger Fellowship.
