ACOR PUBLICATION FELLOWSHIP
The American Center of Oriental Research (ACOR) is offering an award of three to four months for senior scholars or advanced graduate students pursuing a publication project in the fields of Jordanian archaeology, anthropology, cultural resource management, or history with the goal of completing a final publication. This fellowship is funded by ACOR. The applicant will be asked for a detailed schedule leading to publication and the name of the intended publisher. This fellowship is open to all nationalities.
Publication topics should contribute to the scholarship of Jordan. The holder of the fellowship is also expected to participate in the scholarly and cultural activity of the ACOR community while in residence or, if residency not required, remain an active participant in ACOR activities and give an ACOR fellow's lecture.
The fellowship period is for three to four months. The maximum four-month award is $19,000, which includes room and board at ACOR, travel, and a stipend. The award will be prorated accordingly if ACOR residency or international travel is not required. The fellowship must be used in Jordan between May 15, 2013 and December 31, 2014. The award is subject to funding.
