MACDONALD/SAMPSON FELLOWSHIP
2010-2011
The MacDonald/Sampson Fellowship will be awarded to assist an undergraduate or graduate student for research in the fields of Ancient Near Eastern languages and history, archaeology, Bible studies, or comparative religion. Applicants must be enrolled students and Canadian citizens or Canadian landed immigrants. Applicants must choose one of the two options available with this fellowship.
An award for six weeks during the period between May 1, 2010 and April 30, 2011 that will provide room and board at the ACOR center in Amman and a stipend of $600 U.S.
Or, an award of $1,800 U.S. to provide support on an archaeological project or research in Jordan. The fellowship must be used during the period between May 1, 2010 and April 30, 2011. The fellowship is to assist in partial payment of essential expenses for students.
Undergraduate applicants for the MacDonald/Sampson Fellowship may also apply for the Groot and de Vries Fellowships. Graduate student applicants may also apply for the Groot, de Vries, Harrell, and Bikai Fellowships.
