Meals at ACOR Afternoon meals at ACOR are usually well attended. The chef, Mohammed Adawi (Abu Ahmed), prepares the 2 PM meal. The informal buffet meals are the one time that residents and staff gather and have time to rexchange comments. The meals are generally filling and moderately spiced to meet the needs of the larger group. Additional spices and condiments are available to tailor your foods to your palate. The meal service at ACOR included in the room rental, provides an afternoon prepared meal (2PM) and the components for the other two meals provided separately. For breakfast, the items provided are breads, cereals, jams, jellies, etc. and for dinner the leftover lunch items. There are usually vegetables in the refrigerator for use also. The large, commercial style kitchen is open at all times, except when the Chef is preparing the main meal. Items not provided may be purchased from a number of local vendors. ACOR does not supply soft drinks, beer, or alcoholic beverages.
DRINKING WATER Drinking water is boiled and filtered water at ACOR and is available in the refrigerator. Bottled water is also available from local vendors. Drinking local water without boiling and filtering is not recommended although likely to be safe.
