Hostel Accomodations ACOR provides hostel rooms to researchers and scholars who visit and work in Jordan. These are usually double rooms and roommates are likely during popular times of the year. Most rooms have showers and bathrooms and there are three apartments for families. At least one desk is included in each hostel room. Rooms are basic and austere in furnishings and space is at a premium. Telephones are in each room, although only local access is available from the room. ACOR is not responsible for money or other valuables left in hostel rooms. Hostel rooms are cleaned once a week (also before a new resident checks in) and sheets and towels changed on the same schedule. The resident is responsible for the daily cleanliness of the room. ACOR provides a laundry service (for a fee) and is operated for residnets, by the household staff. One day service is the norm. See Rate Chart for the service fees. Local hotels provide overflow capabilities for the hostel at only slightly higher prices. . AMMAN The American Center of Oriental Research Director: Dr. Pierre M.
