EXCAVATIONS IN JORDAN - 2000 The following is a list of excavation and survey projects in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan that have been reported to ACOR for the 2000 field season. Information was correct as of 30 December 1999 and is subject to change. It is provided as a courtesy to persons requesting information on excavations and those seeking positions or volunteer opportunities. This list does not include every excavation ongoing this summer. Contact numbers for the British, French, Spanish, and German Institutes are also given below. It should be noted that some projects do not take volunteers and are listed as a courtesy only. If noted as CLOSED, please do not contact the excavation directors for this year. Contact the excavation director or other contact person regarding position openings. All positions are coordinated directly with the director. ACOR does not fill any positions on the excavations. Projects in publication stage normally do not have positions or space for volunteers. Projects with an asterisk (*) have not received approval from the ASOR Committee on Archaeological Policy. Positions are generally filled prior to mid March with the necessary security forms submitted by the directors to the Department of Antiquities of Jordan prior to April 1 of each year. Excavation directors are encouraged to provide updates, changes or additional information at any time. LIST OF EXCAVATIONS IN JORDAN (2000)
