The
American Center of Oriental Research (ACOR) is dependent
upon donations in cash and in kind donations for the
operation of the facilities in Amman. Currently ACOR is
building and maintains an endowment to ensure the
maintenance of the salaries and operations of the center. No
donation is too small or too large. ACOR preferes U.S.
dollar donations; however, any currency check will be
accepted. One exception is the Euro checks which have an
excessive charge applied for cashing them. Donations in-kind
are also accepted in Amman and occasionally in Boston.
Donations in kind require prior approval and
acceptance.
You may send
a U.S. dollar check to the Boston office and also the Amman
office. Either location will accept U.S. dollars and
Jordanian dinar checks.
We request
that you contact the nearest ACOR office via Email or FAX
with the details of your donation and any specific requests.

is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) organization, as
determined by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.
Thus, your donation may be eligible for a
charitable deduction for U. S. federal, state and
municipal income taxes purposes, depending on your
tax situation.
