CORPORATION

ACOR is a non-profit corporation established to further the study of archaeology and the exchange of scholarly work on the Middle East and Jordan. It is a private, international, academic institution dedicated to the promotion of research and publication primarily in the field of archaeology, but also in the fields of anthropology, history, languages, biblical studies, Arabic, Islamic studies and other aspects of Near Eastern studies. ACOR has served as a liaison between Jordanian institutions, both academic and governmental. ACOR is committed to research which focuses on Jordan‚s past and the preservation of historical sites. Training, education and public service are the most important activities at ACOR.
