Vehicle Rentals Commercial car rental in Jordan is generally a straightforward matter, and a number of agencies are familiar with ACOR (some even deliver and pick-up at ACOR). A variety of vehicle types are available, including 4-wheel drive vehicles. Generally, a standard automobile can be rented for about $50 per day (or approximately $1100 per month - you can negotiate) whereas a jeep or similar vehicle may be obtained for about $100 per day. In order to rent a car, you need a valid driver's license from home (over one year old). An international driver's license is recommended but not absolutely required. The major brand rental agencies do not use the International Drivers License, but some of the smaller companies may require it. Most companies require a deposit/credit card. In renting a car in Jordan, consider the insurance protection provided or available from the companies. In the event of an accident, this can become very important.
