Spring Benefit 2012
In past years, BUA has hosted a number of different events in support of the Academy’s Financial Aid Program. Included have been live and silent auctions, art exhibits, restaurant tastings, and dancing. This year, because of the generous Capital Campaign contributions of many of our families, even above and beyond a commitment to the Annual Fund, we have scaled down the scope of the Spring Benefit for Financial Aid. While the Financial Aid program is no less important for the quality and diversity of students it helps us to financially support, our goals have been appropriately modified for our many generous supporters who have stretched themselves on behalf of several important objectives this past year.

Spring Concert: 7:30 p.m., Marsh Chapel
Financial Aid Benefit Reception: 8:30 p.m.,GSU Back Court

This year, the Financial Aid benefit will be hosted in conjunction with the Academy’s Spring Concert. First, the Chamber Orchestra and Choral Ensemble will perform a new completion of Mozart’s Requiem in Boston University’s Marsh Chapel. With over 15 instrumentalists and 25 vocalists, this will be a spectacle that the entire Academy community will surely never forget.
Following the concert, the Academy community is invited to a dessert reception with live jazz music overlooking the Charles River in the George Sherman Union Back Court. In addition to an online auction, there will be a small, on-site raffle and special appeal opportunities along with the highly anticipated cash raffle drawing presented during this portion of the evening. This reception directly supports fundraising efforts, and a $20 ticket price per adult can be paid for in advance of the event or at the door. BUA students and their siblings may attend free of charge.
Whether you are able to attend the festivities on May 4 or not, there are a number of ways to get involved, including making a donation, bidding on items in the online auction, purchasing cash raffle tickets, and selling cash raffle tickets to meet our 200-ticket goal.
