BUA Parents’ Association
As a current parent of an Academy student, you are automatically a member of the Boston University Academy Parents’ Association (BUAPA). Functioning as the volunteer arm of the Academy, the primary goals of BUAPA are to enhance student life, to strengthen the school community, and to provide assistance with school programs and fundraising. BUAPA organizes activities that enrich the high school experience for students and coordinates parent volunteers for special community events.
There are many opportunities for families to be active members of the Academy community— attend monthly BUAPA meetings, participate in the SCRIP fundraising program, meet new parents at the Winter Social, or volunteer your time throughout the school year.
A $50 non tax-deductible contribution in the form of membership dues is invited, but not required, to help defray the costs of organizing community activities and events for Academy students, faculty, and families.
BUA is the rare school where the classroom experience is really, truly valued above all else, by students, faculty, and parents alike.
