Sasha Lyons teaches ancient history and oversees the writing center for the Academy. She graduated summa cum laude from Yale University and received her Ph.D. in Slavic Languages and Literatures from Harvard University in 2004. In addition to teaching Russian language and literature courses as a graduate student and then as a lecturer at Harvard, Sasha worked as a free-lance translator and art curator in Prague before coming to BUA. She has published articles on Russian poetry in peer-reviewed journals as well as several translations of literary and academic texts. She is fluent in five languages.
