Teams and SchedulesThe Academy’s broadly based physical education curriculum emphasizes movement, physical awareness, and health education. The ultimate goal of the program is to enable Academy students to find, master, and enjoy physical activities that they can pursue throughout their lives.

Through the physical education requirement, the Academy offers a variety of recreational sports for that foster a lifelong appreciation for the benefits of physical activity: Ballroom Dancing, Ice Skating, Martial Arts, Rock Climbing, Sailing (coed), Softball, Swimming, Touch Football, and Volleyball.

Student-athletes benefit from Boston University’s extraordinary athletic facilities. In addition to using Sargent Gynmnasium, which adjoins the Academy building, students have access to Nickerson Field, the pool and rock-climbing wall at the Fitness and Recreation Center, the Track and Tennis Center, the Sailing Pavilion, and DeWolfe Boathouse.
