EdM in English Education
The Master of Education in English & Language Arts Education provides advanced study for educators with initial licensure seeking professional licensure and those interested in working outside of the US public school system. Students in the EdM program prepare for careers as teachers, supervisors, department chairs, curriculum developers, and consultants.
The master’s program emphasizes both recent research and successful practices in English and language arts education. EdM students study English and American literature, research on language development, classroom teaching methodology, and service to schools and children. The program focuses on research findings that help improve instructional methodology, materials, and curricula. Students will examine the art and the craft of teaching language and literature.
