Citizen Participation and Community Development
SED AP 526
This seminar examines the role of civil society in improving schools, family/school/community relationships, and advancing community development, particularly in urban contexts. Students analyze case studies and their own experience, and collaborate in group projects on social entrepreneurship, service learning, full-service community schools, strategic alliances with businesses. A Community Education Leadership requirement.4 cr.,1st sem.
