This Community Education Leadership requirement consists mainly of Fieldwork in settings that provide out-of-school time, after-school, youth development, literacy and lifelong learning programs, particularly for immigrant and low-income communities. In the seminar, students learn collectively from Fieldwork experiences, which draw on the technical skills that directors and managers need to design, budget, fund, plan, monitor and evaluate programs, and case studies to analyze the organizational contexts of program implementation and leadership implications.
