CAGS in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

The Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery program is a four-year integrated curriculum of clinical training, basic science study, and research, all within hospital and dental school environments. The program is designed to provide the student/resident with sufficient didactic and clinical education to meet the requirements of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and to become a proficient practitioner. All students/residents are extremely well prepared for careers in clinical practice, both in academic and private practice settings.

Year 2

The second year is spent on the General Surgery and Anesthesia Service at Boston Medical Center, along with a Pediatric Anesthesia rotation at Franciscan Children’s Hospital. Students/residents are required to attend all required didactic courses, lectures, and conferences of the Department of Surgery & Anesthesia.
