College of Fine Arts

The College of Fine Arts consists of the School of Music, the School of Visual Arts, and the School of Theatre. Studio instruction combined with a solid liberal arts education is integral to our professional training program. In addition, students are encouraged to participate in the College's theatre and opera productions, exhibits, and over 400 concerts annually.

Features:

  • Four-month intensive LA internship program lets undergraduates and graduate students of the School of Theatre experience acting in Hollywood.
  • The Huntington Theatre Company has been in residence at BU since 1982.
  • The faculty of the School of Music are committed artists who participate in the musical profession at the highest level, including the twenty-five faculty members who are also members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
  • Tanglewood Institute, affiliated with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, is the only program of its kind offering an unparalleled music experience to students.
  • Boston University is home to a number of art galleries, where students, alumni, and faculty of the School of Visual Arts can showcase their work in a professional exhibition setting.
