Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Pre-Medical Studies

In conjunction with the College of Arts & Sciences, this certificate program permits those with bachelor’s degrees to pursue the course requirements for application to medical school and other health career programs. Students are required to have at least a 3.3 undergraduate grade point average for admission to this certificate program.

Learning Outcomes

  • Preparedness for admission to medical school and other health career programs, having completed the course requirements typically needed for entrance to these programs.
  • Satisfactory undergraduate preparation in calculus, physics, general and organic chemistry, and biology.

The following 11 courses make up the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Pre-Medical Studies program. To earn the certificate, students must take a minimum of 8 courses as determined and approved in consultation with their Academic Advisors:

Physics (choose two courses)
