Collaborative Theatre Ensemble: Sound and Music in Storytelling

CFA TH 140

This course aims to explore the relationship between sound and theatrical storytelling. Course exercises will allow students to focus on sound as language, creating tone in story, the use of sound effects, and how music can be born of story and vice versa. Students will work as a collaborative ensemble as actors, designers, directors, and musicians to create original short works of theater. Whatever previous experience students have as actors or musicians will be welcome and helpful to the aims of the course work. This course will be co-taught by Matt Stern (mstern303@me.com) and Tim Spears (tspears1@bu.edu). Please contact us for more information.
