Minor in Communication
The minor in communication encompasses focus areas in:
- Communication Studies
- Advertising
- Public Relations
Prerequisite: Completion of COM CO 101 or CO 201 with the appropriate grade (C or better), before declaring the minor.
Students must maintain a GPA of 2.0 in all courses taken toward the minor in communication.
Required Courses
Six required courses (not including COM CO 101 or CO 201):
- Two required courses:
- COM CM 331 Writing for Communication
- COM CM 321 Mass Communication Research or
- COM CM 380 Theory & Process of Communication
- Four 4-credit COM CM courses at the 300 level or higher
