Mathematics

The comprehension of mathematical principles is vital in the study of the natural and social sciences. Students are expected to demonstrate competence in mathematics by a score on the SAT-I: Math of 580; by an advanced placement score in mathematics of 4 or higher; or by a score of 23 on the ACT (math). Students who score below those levels may fulfill the requirement by satisfactory completion of a CAS mathematics course numbered 109 or higher. (Note: satisfaction of the mathematics requirement does not imply satisfaction of the math/computer science divisional studies requirement.)
