Syllabi are for course approval and reference only. Students will receive up-to-date syllabi when their courses begin. Students enroll in one of the following courses and an
internship course. Each course carries four Boston University credits.
Students must enroll for a total of eight credits. Courses are taught by distinguished academics and professionals in the fields of government and history. Walter S. Montano is
a PhD candidate and Teaching Fellow at American University in Washington,
DC His studies are focused on the American Presidency, specifically
the Nixon and Ford administrations. He earned his B.A. from the University
of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1994. Mr. Montano has worked as
an editor and writer in the Washington area for five years, both for
the government and for different publications. He was the founding editor
of Military Transition magazine, a bi-weekly armed forces publication
from 2000-2001. He served as staff editor and speechwriter for the Office
of the Independent Counsel from 1999-2000, co-authoring various reports
to Congress concerning high-level presidential investigations during
the Clinton Administration. He also was assistant editor for the American
Enterprise magazine in Washington from 1997-1999. Mr. Montanos research
interests include U.S. foreign policy, military history, Latin America,
and American Literature in the 20th century. |
