Application Deadlines:
Fall Semester: March 15
Spring Semester: Extended to October 31, 2009 (Originally October 15)
For Spring 2010, the application deadline has been extended to October 31, 2009.
Admissions Calendar:
Review of applications will begin according to the following timetable.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (in major and overall)
- Junior or senior status
- All students must complete the full 16-credit program, enrolling in three academic courses and one internship course
Applicants should submit the following:
- • The application for admission
- • A résumé. Please use the sample résumé as a guide (PDF).
- • Writing samples or clippings
- • Two recommendations: the first must be from a faculty member, and the second is due upon acceptance to the program and may be from an employer or faculty member.

Program Fee
2009/2010 Program Cost: $22,810
The following are included in the program fee:
- Tuition
- Internship placement
- Housing
- Field trips
- Emergency travel assistance coverage
Additional expenses to consider.
The cost for 2010/2011 has not yet been announced and will be subject to approval by the Board of Trustees at Boston University.

Boston Staff
The Boston University Washington, DC Programs
are administered by staff in both our Boston and DC offices. In Boston,
a program manager facilitates the admissions and orientation
procedures, and maintains contact with students prior to their arrival
in DC The Boston Office also houses administrative personnel who are
responsible for everyday operations. In DC, the staff comprises a resident
director, administrative, academic and housing personnel.
