Summer Semester: May 17th to August 1st, 2010
The Summer Los Angeles Internship Program offers students the opportunity to study and work in the heart of the film and television industry. In this unique summer program for entertainment marketing, public relations, and advertising, students enroll in two courses and participate in an internship.
One course focuses on careers in advertising and public relations in Hollywood through a speaker series featuring Boston University alumni in the entertainment industry. The second course offers a survey of entertainment promotion.
Internship placements are available at various public relations, advertising, marketing, and special event firms within the industry. Students work full-time, four days a week and meet with the resident director throughout the program. Students share furnished apartments with other program participants in a centrally located apartment complex. Upon successful completion of the program, students earn 12 Boston University credits.
