Spring Semester: January 18th to May 3rd, 2010
Fall Semester: August 31st to December 14th, 2009
On the shores of beautiful Lake Geneva and surrounded by the highest peaks
of the Alps, Geneva is an important center of international diplomacy,
business, and humanitarian activities. Geneva is home to over 100 international
organizations, including the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Trade
Organization, the U.N. High Commission on Refugees, the International
Red Cross, and many more.
Boston University's
Geneva Internship Program provides students with the opportunity to connect with
and play a role in these global concerns through an in-depth professional
internship and carefully focused coursework.
The Program offers two tracks from which students can choose to enroll in: the International Relations, History and Politics track and the Public Health track. |
|
It is a semester designed
to bring students from international theory to international practice. Upon
successful completion of the semester, students will earn 16 Boston University
credits.
Students in the Public Health track please note that the World Health Organization will only accept seniors as interns.
The First Six Weeks (Core Phase)
During the first six weeks of the semester, students will enroll in one required course (based on their chosen track) and one elective course. Students will also meet with their internship advisor during this period in order to be placed according to ability, professional goals, experience, and availability of local opportunities.
The Final Eight Weeks (Internship Phase)
During the final eight weeks, students enroll in an internship. Students intern full-time, four days per week, and also enroll in one elective course.
