Admissions

Application Deadline:

Summer Semester: March 1

Admissions Calendar:

Review of applications will begin according to the following timetable.

Requirements:

  • • Minimum GPA: 3.0 (in major and overall)
  • • Open to both undergraduate and graduate students
  • • No previous field work experience is required
  • • No Spanish language skills are required
  • • Students admitted to the program must be able to engage in fieldwork in hot temperatures for significant periods of time

Program Fee

Summer 2009 Program Fee: $6,900

The following are included in the program fee:

  • • Tuition
  • • Housing
  • • Board
  • • Field trips
  • • Emergency travel assistance coverage

The cost for 2009/2010 has not yet been announced and will be subject to approval by the Board of Trustees at Boston University.

Travel
The program arranges a trans-Atlantic group flight that is not included in the program fee. We recommend that students take this flight.

Boston Staff

The Boston University Menorca program is administered by staff in both our Boston and Menorca offices. In Boston, a program manager facilitates the admissions and orientation procedures, and maintains contact with students prior to their arrival in Menorca. The Boston Office also houses administrative personnel who are responsible for everyday operations. In Menorca, the staff comprises a resident director, administrative, academic and housing personnel.
