Summer Term: May 24th to July 17th, 2010

The Madrid Internship Program offers students the opportunity to spend eight weeks living, studying, and interning in Madrid, one of Europe’s liveliest and most exciting capital cities. This is an intensive program combining participation in a professional internship with a liberal arts course whose focus is either contemporary Spanish culture or twentieth-century Spanish writers. The program thus provides students with the unique opportunity to combine experience in the classroom and in a Spanish workplace.

Students intern four days a week in the morning and take one course at the Instituto Internacional in the afternoon. Students work approximately 20 hours per week for a period of seven weeks.

Courses are taught at the Instituto Internacional. Students live in Spanish households and enjoy excursions within Madrid and to such cities as Sevilla, Toledo, and Segovia. Upon successful completion of the program, students earn eight Boston University credits.
